Exton Goosefield wildlife site

The Goosefield in Exton is a treasured wildlife area unlike any other in the parish. It is a designated County Wildlife Site, consisting of 0.5ha of salt marsh adjacent to the Exe estuary and alongside the Gilbrook, where it flows down from Woodbury Common through Woodbury to join the River Exe at Exton. There is an excellent walk to here from Woodbury, finishing conveniently close to the Puffing Billy pub! The Goosefield is privately owned, but public access is allowed.

Local resident Malcolm Randle has made a particular study of the wildlife of this field, which is newly published on the website here.
